Real Madrid secured their place in the quarter-finals of the Champions League with a convincing 3-1 victory over Celta Vigo on Tuesday night. The Spanish giants had to come from behind as they were trailing 1-0 at half-time thanks to a first-half goal from Celta's Raul De Tomas.

But Real Madrid fought back and were rewarded for their efforts when Karim Benzema scored his 45th goal of the season just before halftime to level things up. They then went on to dominate the second half and took control of the game, scoring two goals through Vinicius Junior and Casemiro to secure a comfortable win.

Chukwueze was also a standout performer for Real Madrid, scoring twice in the match to become the third-fastest player to score three goals in a single Champions League campaign. He has now netted seven times in the competition this season, breaking the record previously held by Lionel Messi (six) and Cristiano Ronaldo (five).

The victory is a major boost for Real Madrid, who have already qualified for the knockout stages of the competition. It also marks a historic moment for Nigerian winger Chukwueze, who becomes only the fourth African player to reach the Champions League quarter-finals after Aliou Diop (Senegal), Yaya Touré (Guinea) and Emmanuel Adebayor (Togo).

Overall, it was another impressive display from Real Madrid, who showed their dominance and skill throughout the match against Celta Vigo. With the quarter-finals looming, there is no doubt that they will be one of the favourites to progress further into the tournament.
